We invite representatives of human rights CSOs to discuss the UPR Turkey Mid-term Report process with an international expert from the UPR-Info, the main international NGO that supports other CSO to better engage in the UPR processes!
The Etkiniz EU Programme’s tenth webinar with international experts on human rights mechanisms, titled “Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Turkey Mid-term Report”, will be held on April 8th 2022. UPR-Info’s Programme Manager Nicoletta Zappile will share her expertise with CSOs in Turkey about the UPR process and how CSOs in Turkey can utilise UPR mid-term report process as a means to contribute to the human rights monitoring efforts in Turkey.

Who is Nicoletta Zappile?
Nicoletta joined UPR Info in July 2018 as Programme Manager. Prior to joining UPR Info, she worked at the International Commission of Jurists first as Development Officer (from 2013-2018) and then also as Project Officer for the ICJ Global Redress and Accountability Initiative for gross human rights violations (2017-2018). She started her career as a journalist and Digital Editor of The Global Journal, an international affair focused media start-up based in Geneva.
Nicoletta holds an LL.M. in International Humanitarian Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and a MAS in International Relations with a specialization in international law from the University of Florence. She speaks Italian, English and French.
